What was the highlight of your week? Have a beautiful weekend!
Apple picking day is almost always followed by apple pie baking! Friends of ours invited us to supper so we decided to make a couple apple pies for dessert. Because it was a last minute thing, I didn’t make the crust and used store-bought pie crust (which tasted amazing actually) and if you decide to cheat like I did, you will need two shells. I suggest using tart tasting apples rather than very sweet apples to avoid sugar overdose since… Read more »
There is a small community of French-speaking people on Prince Edward Island – today we decided to attend a family fun event that would bring our community together organized by Cap Enfants and the Carrefour de l’Isle-Saint-Jean. I had never heard of the Olde Towne Orchard but it didn’t disappoint! We had a wonderful time – Farmer Marc was great with children and made a quick and fun presentation for the kids telling them more about apple trees, orchard, and… Read more »
Our life changed for the better six months ago. Victoire Callie was born. It feels like she was born yesterday and yet, she has grown so much. I had a very stressful, scary, and painful pregnancy. I have discussed about potentially getting a pump with some of you, and still haven’t. I am beyond exhausted. I have lost… Read more »
Last night, I decided to put Victoire in her own bed, in her own room. I am not sure what triggered the decision – she was starting to fuss and I wasn’t ready to go to sleep but didn’t want to leave my bedroom either (Daddy was away) so I thought: “mon beau chat*”, tonight is the night. You are going to sleep by yourself, like a big girl. I kissed her and wished her goodnight. I left the room… Read more »
Nature Walk. Sixtine, Victoire and myself went for a nice nature walk this afternoon. I thought we could all benefit from the “fresh” air and that it would be a great way of introducing flowers in our “curriculum” if we have such a thing. Yes, Sixtine has been showing a lot of interest in flowers lately; first by blowing dandelions, then picking up every living flowers possible. Material. A basket, a pair of scissors (although I barely used them –… Read more »
